Halal Slaughter: Cutting England’s Throat

This morning, John Humphrys announced on Radio 4’s Today Programme that the number of sheep and goats killed using either halal or kosher methods without pre-stunning, reached the staggering figure of 2.4 million in the past year. This represented a 60% jump in the number killed in this manner compared to the previous year. Why has there been such a surge? Muslim agitation. Not ‘extremist’ Islamist agitation, but mainstream Muslim agitation.  

The Daily Mail revealed that this number, according to the British Veterinary Association, represented 37% of sheep and goats killed using halal methods. Furthermore, nationally the percentage of cattle and poultry killed in this manner has now reached 25% and 16% of their respective totals.  

Let this be crystal clear: a special exemption to animal welfare legislation is granted to halal and kosher slaughterhouses to enable them to kill animals using less humane methods than are available. This is totally unacceptable. How can an alleged 5% of the population that is Muslim, have such a massive impact upon the slaughter practices of our national food industry? How can this minority roll back the tide of progress, and the majority capitulate in such a spineless manner? Are some afraid that if the right to halal slaughter is not granted, that it will be their throats that will be cut, instead of those of the terrified, fully conscious animals that are currently despatched in this manner? How backward, how irrational, how resolutely anti-British, anti-English, anti-European and anti-modern it is, to subscribe to the belief that a muttered Arabic incantation somehow renders this mode of slaughter ‘humane’.  

 If you must eat in an ‘Indian’ restaurant, do not order meat. If you eat at Pizza Express, and profess to care about animal welfare, be aware that all of its chicken is halal. Last year, circa one fifth of Nando’s restaurants were halal, as were 100 KFC outlets. Fancy something from Subway? Unless it’s a pork product, think again, as it could well be halal. If slaughter without pre-stunning is not stopped – completely – those who hold backward beliefs will have triumphed over the values of a more advanced, more humane and enlightened society. Is this progress? No. This is regression. Regression in the name of ‘diversity’, facilitated by the national body politic’s auto-immune disease known as multiculturalism.  

Boycott businesses that sell meat that has been slaughtered without pre-stunning. Sign petitions calling for the end of religious exemptions to animal welfare legislation. Write to your MP, and make your feelings on this issue known. Halal is the thin end of the wedge, as are Shariah-compliant financial products and sundry other areas of law. England, in particular, is being colonised by Muslim settlers and their descendants, and as such is dying; its progressive values slowly bleeding to death beneath the halal butcher’s knife.

Bloc Identitaire Anti-halal Protest at Villeurbanne (Lyon) KFC

We have seen KFC trial halal menus in a number of its outlets across the UK, and the situation with respect to the creeping Islamisation of the company's menu is just as evident in France. However, it would seem that at least in some instances branches of KFC on the other side of the Channel are not telling their customers that they are serving only halal meat. It is one such example of this practice which yesterday led members of Bloc Identitaire to mount a protest in front of a branch of KFC in the Villeurbanne district of Lyon. This action was prompted by the decision of this branch of the fast-food chain to sell only halal meat to its clients, whilst not mentioning this in any of its publicity or onsite informational literature.

A group of thirty Bloc Identitaire activists, some wearing pig masks and carrying placards, descended upon KFV Villeurbanne to voice their opposition to this branch’s unannounced halal-only policy, and to listen to a speech in which it was declared that non-Muslim customers were in effect being compelled to pay ‘a religious tax’. Quite rightly, Bloc Identitaire have described the actions of this branch of KFC as ‘a scandal’.

As outlined in a recent article concerning illegal Muslim prayers upon the streets of Nice, Bloc Identitaire activists are taking action to highlight and oppose Islamisation across France (the most visible sign of the rot caused to French society by the imposition of multiculturalism by the country’s political leaders). As defenders of France’s local indigenous cultural diversity, the members and supporters of Bloc Identitaire must be congratulated upon making a stand to preserve those characteristics of the French way of life that make their country unique, and such a wonderful place to visit.

Now Muslims call for KFC Boycott!

In a surprising twist KFC’s attempt to lure Muslim customers into its outlets has backfired, as many Muslims are claiming that KFC’s halal menu is not really halal. Why not? Well, according to a News of the World report, approximately one third of chickens which are pre-stunned during the mechanised slaughter process are dead by the time that they have their throats slit in accordance with Islamic religious stipulations. For orthodox Muslims, this therefore means that the flesh of such birds is unclean and thus haram (forbidden).

A Lancashire-based Imam named Yusuf Shabbir speaking on behalf of the Lancashire Council of Mosques stated: “If KFC confirms to us that it has no intention of changing the mechanical method of slaughter we will advise members of the Muslim community [of] this.” So, here we have an effective call for a Muslim boycott of KFC to join the existing non-Muslim anti-halal boycott. How will KFC respond? I suspect that it will probably do all that it can to appease its Muslim customers by ensuring that all of its slaughtered poultry experience the full unnecessary suffering that observant Muslims require.

To all who oppose Islamisation: keep up the boycott of KFC! If it wants to limit itself to catering to the 2.4 million+ Muslims resident in the UK and to lose the custom of everyone else, let it go ahead. For me, this is a straightforward animal welfare issue, so ultimately we need to ban halal slaughter in the UK and ban the import of all halal food products.

A Message from a Muslim (I presume) Reader of this Blog

I have an open comments policy on this blog as I believe in freedom of speech. This, after all, is one of the main reasons that I started blogging. Events here in the UK and elsewhere in Europe in recent years have caused me an increasing sense of unease, as our right to free expression has been increasingly curtailed and those who speak out about certain problems such as Islamisation, mass immigration and multiculturalism find themselves unjustly stigmatised and sometimes criminalized. Waiting in the wings are militant Islamists and their far-Left confederates who are all too happy to use violent intimidation in pursuit of silencing those who draw attention to their activities and goals. It would seem that one of these individuals (from Nottingham in all likelihood) paid a visit to this site yesterday, as you shall see.

This morning I was somewhat taken aback to read an exceptionally violent and threatening comment left after my piece calling for a boycott of KFC owing to the company’s introduction of halal-only menus at 74 of their branches in the UK. Obviously, some people will disagree with my stance, and I’m not stopping anyone from saying so; but I think you’ll agree that the following text (reproduced verbatim from the comments section) does not constitute a measured objection. The language employed is crude, but I thought it worthwhile drawing your attention to the deranged mentality characteristic of those who follow a literalistic interpretation of the Qur’an. Islamisation in the UK and elsewhere in Europe must be tackled with urgency, lest those of us who do not submit are murdered by these sadistic fanatics.

Ah, "Anonymous" who left the message at 23:32 on 27 March, do you happen to be a follower of the "religion of peace" by any chance? Your comment says everything that we non-Muslims need to know about Islam. Incidentally, your grammar is execrable. Must you write everything in shouty block capitals? "NO BODIES" is suggestive of something non-corporeal, such as a spirit or a deity; the word you were struggling to find was "nobodies".

Your use of a term for part of the female anatomy conjoined with lopping heads off betrays your deep-seated misogyny as well as your psychopathic inclination to violence. It's also grammatically incorrect: "cunt" is a noun, not an adjective. Similarly, your reference to "LOWER CLASS TRASH" is not only factually incorrect, but also grammatically. Next time, please write "lower-class trash". Nonetheless, this shall be ignored, for we who oppose your barbarous ideology are drawn from all classes and are decent human beings, not "trash". Neither are you "trash": you are simply dangerously mentally unhinged; an excellent exemplar of the 'ideal' Muslim.

KFC Halal Outlets: Let KFC know what you think about its Policy

Take a trip to the following link to the KFC UK website. Here you can let them know what you think of their decision to convert the 74 listed outlets into halal-compliant eateries. Tell them that neither you, your family nor your friends will eat there until they ditch their halal policy. There are still more of us non-Muslims than Muslims in the UK, so withholding our spending power can hit KFC were it hurts. Let's make the UK a halal-free zone and put bacon back on the menu. Together, we can do it!

Time to boycott KFC: Colne KFC goes Halal

Following Asda's decision to sell only halal products in its Isle of Dogs store late last year, the Islamization Watch blog reports that Colne KFC is now selling halal products only. This means that anyone who purchases chicken from this branch will now be eating inhumanely slaughtered poultry owing to the refusal of local Muslims to eat meat which has been produced using methods that seek to minimise suffering to animals as they are despatched. The branch has also stopped selling pork products.

Islamization Watch states:

The store, on North Valley Retail Park, is one of 74 KFC outlets nationwide to be chosen for a halal trial. Those in Burnley, Accrington and Blackburn are also taking part in the trial.

On its website, KFC states: "For some time, we have received requests to provide halal food in parts of the UK, and as a result of this we are running a halal trial within communities where we anticipate a strong demand for halal products."

A Facebook group opposing this policy has been set up, so if you are a member, I urge you to join it. Currently, there are more of us non-Muslim than Muslim consumers in the UK, so together we can drive businesses to ruin should they choose to introduce halal-slaughtered meat into their product range. We must not tolerate the creeping Islamisation of our nation. Boycott KFC. Boycott Asda. Boycott any business that introduces halal meat. Do not condone the barbarous intentionally cruel practices of a dark age religion by continuing to purchase products from KFC or Asda.
