Qur’an 5:32 "Whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all humankind.”

Have you ever heard an apologist for Islam quote this before claiming that it demonstrates that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’? In the following video (hat tip to Tundra Tabloids) it will not surprise you to see Anjem Choudary defining this stipulation as applying exclusively to Muslims. What may jolt you, if you have fallen for this quote previously, is the automatic agreement of his presumably ‘moderate’ Muslim interviewer working for CNN. Did you honestly think that they’d define kuffar such as ourselves as innocent?

The qur’anic verse which follows this alleged demonstration of Islam’s tolerance reads:

5:33 The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the hereafter.
How does a doctrinaire Muslim define waging war against their god and prophet? How does a doctrinaire Muslim define ‘mischief through the land’? Given the Muslim propensity to keep redefining jihad (i.e. holy war) as personal struggle whenever it suits them to do so, I suspect that they would not hesitate to show a great deal of flexibility in their interpretation of this verse and apply it to anyone who actively obstructs Islam’s advance or who denigrates its repellent content. Acts of terror and intimidation coupled with the ready ‘offence’ taken by Muslims across the globe whenever anyone questions their religion or prophet would appear to provide ample demonstration of such an interpretation.

The relevant section of the interview is circa 30-35 seconds in.

  1. Hi mate any advice about changing the links I have as pictures into html. My friend started the blog and he knew how to do it but I don't see him anymore. I would like to put a link for your blog on also.

  2. Hi ic1. Are you referring to the pictures linking to sites connected to the Holodomor and the Baltic nationalists? I've not used that form of link before, so am not sure how you'd transform them into html. Have you tried just copying and pasting the URL of the sites to which they lead then adding these to your 'Sites of Interest' section in Blogger's design section?

Thanks for offering to link to my site. Just copy and paste my homepage URL - - and add it to your blog list in Blogger design. I hope this advice is of some use. I'm not of a particularly techie bent.

  3. I was referring to the website links down the bottom 'London Patriot' etc. Not to worry.

    Thanks anyway

  4. I'll take a look and get back to you later.

  5. Jonathan Kay on honour killings: The genocide that Muslims inflict on themselves

  6. Ah, I see what you mean ic1. I've often wondered how people manage to display their links in picture form, so it would appear that we're both mystified on this score :-).

  7. Thanks for the link to the Jonathan Kay article Anonymous. These so-called honour killings are a scourge upon humanity. I cannot begin to comprehend the anger and despair that the Afghan woman depicted in this article must feel. What, I wonder, happened to the beast of a fiance who so cruelly disfigured her with what would appear to have been acid?

  8. Jihad means struggle and there is always a struggle to better oneself or as a Muslim struggle against ones desires to incline towards evil. The jihad u say muslims interpret as this n I assume u mean some muslims want to hide it. jihad doors not mean holy war bcoz 1 jihad in Arabic is 1 word n holy is Muqaddas n war is harb check it if u want. But jihad islamically in a war sense is there it is true. Jihad is the struggle to rid the lands from tyrants, oppressors, invaders, evil etc. n it is allowed by ALLAH to protect peoples wealth, property and lives. I can give u an example of tyranny n oppression look at Israel bulldozing houses n then have a good long think about who is oppressing who.

Islam obviously differentiates between childeen, women, elderly, civilians and then combatants. Innocent in the context of war is non combatant.

And don't listen to interpretations of people the scholars have already written who is known to be innocent and who isn't and being a kafir (non Muslim) doesn't automatically make u guilty. U can be innocent or a civilian in todays terms when 1 he/she is a non combatant 2 hasn't murdered another person 3. Isn't striving to spread corruption in the land. N if u want an example of that 1 is displacing people from their homes which the children of Israel are known for n evidence is on the news every day bulldozing houses. And the punishment is severe bcoz the crime is severe n i believe that tyrants n murderers should be punished severely. So here's a link if u think I'm making it up or being apologetic.

There is tons of evidence showing that the early muslims did not kill every non Muslim they saw tons n tons of evidence in the books of seerah or the biography of the messenger of ALLAH pbuh...

Finally fair enough yes honour killings or mutilation is disgusting n should be stopped but don't try n make it out to look as if it was introduced by islam bcoz there is no evidence shown n I know there is a saying from the messenger pbuh that mutilation is forbidden. It is a cultural practice n not from islam. But stoning yes it is from islam n u can find it in the bible as well for the one who is married n has an affair. Thank you for reading I hope that clears things up for u

  9. Honour killings n mutilation is cultural n not from islam
