Will Self on Pakistani Muslim Misogyny

The following exchange between Will Self and Louise Mensch is rather interesting, for Self carefully outlines why he thinks that there is a particular Pakistani Muslim problem with paedophilia and the systematic grooming of English girls, and that whereas it has formerly been glossed over, it should be no longer. He identifies this pattern of abuse as being specifically rooted in the misogyny of part of the male Pakistani Muslim population. His approach is altogether measured and reasonable, whereas Mensch's interjection can be interpreted as little more than the recitation of PC 'anti-racist' shibboleths designed to curry favour with the Muslim electorate, describing the Islam that Self correctly identifies as fostering an intense misogyny and specific contempt for non-Muslim English girls as "a particularly warped extremist version of Islam that no mainstream British Muslim would recognise for a second." In uttering such a statement Mensch either betrays her intense ignorance, or a cynical propensity to elevate the interests of Pakistani Muslims over English working class girls for whom I imagine she has little respect. Of course, Self quite correctly never said that it was all men from such a background who possess such views and who condone this type of behaviour, but it proved convenient for Mensch to pretend that this is what he did say.

Mensch doesn't have a clue. She is as out of touch as Cameron, Osborne and the other habitués of the cocktail set. She ought to quit politics and return to judging the local gymkhana. Her profoundly ignorant and stigmatising attitudes are precisely those which have permitted the systematic Muslim paedophile abuse of English girls to continue unchallenged for years, and if these attitudes are not ditched and the problem recognised for what it is, then many more girls will fall victim to this dreadful crime. Is Louise Mensch your MP? If so, why not write to her and ask her why she is so complacent about the fate of underage English girls, and more concerned with the welfare of Pakistani Muslim paedophiles.

  1. Interesting that he states that in his opinion Galloway isn't fit to hold office.

    1. Although I dislike Galloway and broadly share this judgement, he should nonetheless have the right to stand for office. Banning individuals from standing for election upon the criteria of 'fitness' might disqualify many people for no good reason, depending upon how those qualifying criteria are defined.

    2. Whilst its easy to agree in principle, would you feel the same if the likes of Anjem Choudary were to become an MP?
Of course, it would mean he would have to take part in the democratic process he loathes but something similar could happen.
That would be much worse than islamic puppet Galloway winning Bradford West.

    3. I don’t like the fact that Galloway has become MP, and I would certainly be alarmed if Choudary were to win a seat, but the probable impact of this eventuality would be to finally shock members of the public out of their complacency with respect to Islamism. For those of us who oppose Islamism, his limited success could therefore actually be a blessing in disguise.

My apprehensions with respect to the notion of a candidate being ‘fit’ to stand for office or otherwise, relate directly to which criteria are employed to arrive at such a decision, and who applies and implements them. Given the dominant ideology entrenched within our society today, anyone for example who opposes multiculturalism and the active promotion of ‘diversity’, could be disqualified from standing for election upon the grounds of not being ‘fit’. As to whether I think either Galloway or Choudary are ‘fit’ to exercise office, my personal answer is no.

    4. Then we both agree with Will Self, who merely stated his personal opinion that Galloway was unfit, not that he shouldn't be allowed to stand and be elected.

However I don't share your opinion that the election of someone akin to Choudary could be a blessing in disguise. The legitimacy it would give him and his ilk would be nothing but disastrous. Rather than being the moment the mask slipped it would be celebrated as an indication of just how well multiculturalism worked and how wonderful it was.
The true face wouldn't be shown until it was much too late.

  2. Good on Will Self, he put across a very clear and concise argument that the like of Louise Mensch cannot understand. She is clearly pro-Islam and pro-immigration, being more concerned with not upsetting the 'Pakistani community' as she puts it rather than the rights of those poor girls subjected to vile abuse.

    1. She has a nice seat in rural Northamptonshire so she can afford to be indulgent to cuddly minorities in those nasty rough towns and cities. Come to think of it, I don't think that Muslim countries are keen on 'chick lit' either.

  4. The worrying thing is that she is a representative of the younger views in this country - the rest of the panel were older men.

    1. This is true. The sort of views pumped into the heads of the young in the education system these days is disturbing. This outlook is of course continuously policed and maintained by the mass, particularly the electronic, media.

  5. @Pat : 'The worrying thing is that she is a representative of the younger views in this country'. I disagree. Her views and attitude are representative of the entire political class and establishment regardless of age, not the young as a whole. She is a typically hypocritical and opportunistic parasite, nothing more.
I have kids and I can tell you they may pay lip service to the cock and bull they are force fed at school but once they are among themselves they pretty much know the score. There is a lot of support for the EDL in particular for obvious reasons, whereas interest in far left groups is non existant (this is also reflected nationally as even the students have deserted the UAF etc).
I honestly believe the young are rejecting this state enforced lunacy and the radicals of the future among whites will be exclusively Nationalist.

    1. Take a bit of hope from your post - my two are the typical Daily Mail bashers. They both have children but as yet do not seem to 'get it'.

Something that caused me a great deal of thought on Saturday was in the Plymouth Herald. The city centre held an 'attempt to break the world record for dance'. Multiple (white) school children were involved, In the front of the picture are three teenage boys wearing black masks....maybe there was a reason for this but I can only think of one!

    2. I expect that their teachers thought that the whole display was a little too "hideously white" Pat, hence the need for the ridiculous prop of black masks. How sad. Can you imagine black Africans donning white masks to perform ballet? Plymouth has a much more relaxed feel about it than many of our other cities, and it remains very English.

  6. I think that those who are peddling the mensch line are basically those who live in nice middle classe areas where they don't really know what's going on.
Maybe among a minority of middle class youngsters pc views are followed. But amongst the working class youth I come into contact with think you'd be hard pushed to find any significant amount of them who are naive to believe the leftie-liberal rubbish. The middle class media really haven't a clue just how angry those small c conservative working class young and old are.

    1. Those of the type you mention certainly seem to possess a somewhat rose-tinted vision of anything relating to ethnic minorities, whether there happens to be any merit in their prejudices or otherwise. In this instance, their ill-informed preconceptions have to a certain extent facilitated this pattern of abuse, and as such, must be condemned.
