Halal Slaughter: Cutting England’s Throat

This morning, John Humphrys announced on Radio 4’s Today Programme that the number of sheep and goats killed using either halal or kosher methods without pre-stunning, reached the staggering figure of 2.4 million in the past year. This represented a 60% jump in the number killed in this manner compared to the previous year. Why has there been such a surge? Muslim agitation. Not ‘extremist’ Islamist agitation, but mainstream Muslim agitation.  

The Daily Mail revealed that this number, according to the British Veterinary Association, represented 37% of sheep and goats killed using halal methods. Furthermore, nationally the percentage of cattle and poultry killed in this manner has now reached 25% and 16% of their respective totals.  

Let this be crystal clear: a special exemption to animal welfare legislation is granted to halal and kosher slaughterhouses to enable them to kill animals using less humane methods than are available. This is totally unacceptable. How can an alleged 5% of the population that is Muslim, have such a massive impact upon the slaughter practices of our national food industry? How can this minority roll back the tide of progress, and the majority capitulate in such a spineless manner? Are some afraid that if the right to halal slaughter is not granted, that it will be their throats that will be cut, instead of those of the terrified, fully conscious animals that are currently despatched in this manner? How backward, how irrational, how resolutely anti-British, anti-English, anti-European and anti-modern it is, to subscribe to the belief that a muttered Arabic incantation somehow renders this mode of slaughter ‘humane’.  

 If you must eat in an ‘Indian’ restaurant, do not order meat. If you eat at Pizza Express, and profess to care about animal welfare, be aware that all of its chicken is halal. Last year, circa one fifth of Nando’s restaurants were halal, as were 100 KFC outlets. Fancy something from Subway? Unless it’s a pork product, think again, as it could well be halal. If slaughter without pre-stunning is not stopped – completely – those who hold backward beliefs will have triumphed over the values of a more advanced, more humane and enlightened society. Is this progress? No. This is regression. Regression in the name of ‘diversity’, facilitated by the national body politic’s auto-immune disease known as multiculturalism.  

Boycott businesses that sell meat that has been slaughtered without pre-stunning. Sign petitions calling for the end of religious exemptions to animal welfare legislation. Write to your MP, and make your feelings on this issue known. Halal is the thin end of the wedge, as are Shariah-compliant financial products and sundry other areas of law. England, in particular, is being colonised by Muslim settlers and their descendants, and as such is dying; its progressive values slowly bleeding to death beneath the halal butcher’s knife.

Today Programme is Barking Mad

This morning's report on the electoral campaign in Barking was as far removed from the BBC's obligation to be impartial as could be imagined. The Today Programme reporter did his utmost to talk up Margaret Hodge's prospect of winning the seat and sought out as many voters as possible who had something negative to say about the BNP. He also made the most risible comment of the parliamentary campaign that I have heard so far - that many in Barking may be considering voting Liberal Democrat in order to deal with its housing problem! As the Liberal Democrats wish to provide an amnesty to an estimated 1.1 million immigrants and would wish to see many more immigrants flood into the country, any indigenous voter considering casting their ballot for this party should have their head examined. The Liberal Democrats would give priority in housing allocation to any immigrant family/individual which they deemed to have greater legitimate needs than the local population, leaving the latter to rot.

Unsurprisingly, owing to the BBC's unrelenting hostility towards the BNP and its associated tendentious distorted reporting of the party, Richard Barnbrook refused to allow the Today Programme the opportunity of interviewing Nick Griffin or any of the BNP team working in the constituency. The manner in which this report was conducted could readily be interpreted as an attempt by Radio 4 to subvert the democratic process in Barking. My message to the disgruntled voters of Barking is this: if you want your situation to change for the better, vote BNP and return Nick Griffin to Westminster, for the other parties don't give a damn about you and will definitely place the needs of immigrants before yours.

Sandhurst Mosque: Radio 4 pandering to Islam again

This morning’s Today Programme featured an item on Camberley Council’s decision not to allow an existing mosque in a Victorian school building to sprout minarets. Predictably, Sarah Montague was soon deploying words such as “Islamophobia” and “racism” to merry abandon, readily (and ominously) eliding the two. What is it that is so difficult for commentators of her ilk to grasp: Islam is not a race; it is a totalitarian religion that possesses followers from all races and actively proselytises amongst the indigenous British. Montague et al should therefore never elide criticism or dislike of Islam with the term “racism.” Furthermore, the real intent underpinning the creation of the word “Islamophobia” was revealed in Montague’s usage: to silence and damn criticism of Islam and its manifestations whilst simultaneously seeking to stigmatise and ostracise anyone who dares to voice criticism. To brand someone a “racist” in our society today is equivalent to according them the status of “heretic” in mediaeval Europe (or the contemporary Islamic world) or “fascist” in the Soviet Union.

I am glad that planning permission for minarets at the Camberley mosque has been refused, but nonetheless, I am saddened by the very fact that there is a mosque in the town. If you are considering voting for UKIP at the forthcoming General Election, I would ask you not to do so, for despite Lord Pearson’s views on Islamisation, these are not shared by Nigel Farage who stated "This was never about religion, but about the fair and just process that applies to everyone no matter what faith or belief." Farage’s utterance displays his willingness to politick for the Muslim vote, and thus demonstrates that if UKIP did gain MPs they would be just as unwilling to criticise (let alone deal with) Islamisation as the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democratic parties.
