MPACUK: Not keen on the EDL

Hardly a surprise, given that the stated mission of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee is to increase the power, influence and voice of the Ummah in the UK. Why however, they should not understand that a people in their own homeland – the English in England – should wish to resist Islamisation, is a question that should perhaps be answered by a psychiatrist, for it is not a logical position. Islam is not part of English identity and is incompatible with it, unlike for example Druidry, Wicca, agnosticism, atheism and Christianity. It is so incompatible, that any native who converts effectively renounces their ethnicity and declares themselves in opposition to the interests of their kith and kin. Thankfully, some who convert are bound to later realise the error of their ways and see their digression as either an aspect of youthful folly or as behaviour characteristic of a vulnerable interlude in their lives when they lost their sense of self-respect. 

Anyway, returning to MPACUK: what has been discomfiting its supporters of late? On their site I stumbled upon the following extracts taken from a piece entitled ‘Silence Isn’t Golden’ (I wonder if they think that ‘The Tremeloes’ are haram?):

In the latest news, the so-called English Defence League has set its eyes on areas which it has previously not marched at, such as Walsall and Bristol. To add insult to injury, they now have a formal political voice, via an agreement with the British Freedom Party. The BFP is also Islamophobic and the resources on their site point to the usual Islamophobic propaganda, as used and encouraged by terrorist Anders Breivik and their ilk.

It is pathetic that the most of our mosques ever seem to do is to tell people to stay in their homes and to not go out onto the streets. Furthermore, they tell the Muslims that to engage with the EDL thugs is mindless and pathetic. However, what many of them fail to realise is that when we go inside our homes, they will come knocking on our homes and destroy them. They have absolutely no dignity for any buildings in which Muslims are occupants as demonstrated by their recent march outside East London Mosque. 

I too find it an ‘insult’ that marches by the EDL are nowadays required to highlight Islamisation in Walsall and Bristol, for it is depressing that Islam has put down roots in these corners of England. Bristol apparently now has a sizable Somali colony. What benefits could possibly accrue from poor old Bristol acquiring a population of some 15,000 Somalis? Narcotics abusers who are keen on khat might find their presence a welcome addition, but who else I ask, other than anti-White Anglophobes? 

The BFP, particularly of late, may have adopted a somewhat Neocon tone, but it is rather hysterical or cynical (perhaps both) for MPACUK to seek to associate it with the name of Breivik. If the party was of the same ilk as Breivik after all, I would be extremely worried, for Breivik chose to massacre not Muslims, but native Norwegians.

It is telling that the author of this particular MPACUK article thinks that some mosque leaderships are “pathetic” for telling “people to stay in their homes and to not go out onto the streets.” This suggests that this individual has been picking up bad political habits from anti-English campaign group UAF and their SWP controllers, such as making slanderous allegations about the violent intent of EDL protestors. The writer has evidently been spooked by SWP propaganda, which serves to illustrate the highly destabilising and dangerous role that the Trotskyist Left plays in Britain today. It seems eminently sensible to me that the mosque elders he has chosen to chastise recommend that demonstrations should not be met with counterdemonstrations, for such occasions are bound to become overheated, particularly when the agents provocateurs of the SWP are present. The latter lust for violence, and clearly and willingly incite it.

Laughably, multiculturalist convert Boris Johnson is described as “Islamophobic”, but the author concludes their fearful piece in calling for Muslims to vote for Ken Livingstone in the next London mayoral elections. Well, at least on this count the author is correct: Ken will be a compliant dhimmi.

Ultimately, this MPACUK piece, as well as the existence of MPACUK itself, reminds us that we do have a problem with imperialist Islam in our country today. However, tempting as it may be, it would be myopic and not overly productive for a political party to become overly fixated upon attacking this manifestation of our multiculturalist malaise. The growth of Islamic militancy and of the population that gives it succour is a symptom of the globalist outlook of our political class and the associated policies that have been imposed upon us. The issue of Islamisation could be dealt with readily and peacefully enough should the political will be present. Thus it falls to us to discredit and remove the ideology of globalism, replacing it with a democratic nationalism in which the economy is made to serve our people, and not our people an unaccountable global market ruled over by transnational financiers.

Bradford: 54-year-old Man Attacked

At times, driving in Bradford can jangle the nerves. To put it politely, irregular driving is not overly unusual, and often downright dangerous in the UK’s capital of uninsured drivers. Thankfully however, I have not experienced the sort of incident that left an unfortunate victim of an unprovoked and vicious attack with a serious wound to his face. The assault took place on Tuesday 10 January at about 4.30pm on Gaynor Street. The 54-year-old motorist had been cut up by a black Seat Leon and forced to take evasive action. Naturally, the man was angry and pulled up, as did the other driver, said to be an “Asian man, in his early to mid twenties, around 5ft7ins, . . . wearing a grey cardigan.” After a verbal exchange the latter then hit the victim “in the face with a heavy object as he walked back to his car.”

This type of extreme and unwarranted violence has unfortunately occurred in the city before, and on this occasion the victim received 20 stitches in his face. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. West Yorkshire Police are appealing for potential witnesses stating:

“If you . . . can help us in our investigations to trace the man responsible for this assault, please contact the non emergency number,101, or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.”

Good luck to them in their search. Let’s hope that this thug is apprehended soon before he has the chance to unleash this sort of violence against anyone else.

Anti-English Demonstration plugged by Leicester Mercury

The general tenor of journalism in the UK today can be perplexing for rational beings. For example, the Daily Mail and Daily Express put out a constant stream of stories bemoaning the negative impact of multiculturalism and mass immigration, thereby frequently getting their readerships hot under the collar about these issues, but then promptly instruct them that they should vote for the Conservative Party, a party that is committed to multiculturalism and mass immigration. It’s all heat and no light with these papers. Now, if they were actually to do the logical thing and say to their readers: “If you don’t like multiculturalism and mass immigration, then vote for a party that opposes these phenomena, i.e. not Conservative, Labour or Liberal Democrat” then I might possibly accord them a little respect. As they do not, and instead keep herding their readerships towards what amounts to collective mass self-harm by voting Conservative, I hold them in hearty contempt.

The politicisation of the press is of course largely a consequence of the guidelines on race and religion issued by the National Union of Journalists, which demand a systematic distortion and misrepresentation of any story that touches upon these themes. Thus, turning to today’s Leicester Mercury we are confronted with two contrasting headlines: one concerning the EDL’s forthcoming Leicester demonstration on 4 February, the other covering a predictable reactive protest by UAF. Before revealing the headlines, it is worth reminding ourselves that the EDL has chosen to demonstrate in the city on this day because of the lenient sentences handed out to a gang of female Somalis who engaged in an unprovoked anti-White race attack against Rhea Page and her boyfriend, and the failure of the court to acknowledge a racial element to the crime.

The Daily Mail, unsurprisingly, made a huge noise about this case and its injustice. One would therefore think, looking at things logically, that the Daily Mail and other papers would be keen to back a protest against the judiciary’s wilful discounting of a racial motive in this instance. Why wouldn’t they be keen to champion a popular, grassroots democratic expression of discontent on this score? There could be no grounds, surely, for the Mail and the rest of the press ostensibly enraged by the Page case, not to back such a demonstration? Well, the Daily Mail has to date (correct me if I’m wrong) remained mute on the EDL’s forthcoming demo, whereas the Leicester Mercury has chosen to cover it. Is the Leicester Mercury sympathetic? Hardly.

Do you notice anything telling about the manner in which the two stories have been prefaced? What of that first phrase – “used as a reason for EDL demo”. What does the paper mean “used as a reason”? This phrasing seems to imply that the Rhea Page case is simply being used as a pretext to demonstrate in Leicester rather than being the real reason for the demonstration. Journalists are generally assiduous in choosing the words that they employ in headlines, so whoever wrote headline number one would have carefully structured it in such a way as to generate a particular intended impact and insinuation in the minds of readers. Whilst not being supportive, the headline also failed to be neutral: it was hostile to the EDL and their cause on this occasion.

The words in headline number two may also have been carefully chosen, but they were not carefully checked for spelling errors. What is ‘facism’? Is it some species of ‘lookism’? Discrimination against people with less than average, that is to say, ugly faces? Are the ‘anti-facists’ thus a group of ugly people with a chip on their shoulder regarding their looks? Leading ‘anti-facists’ such as Weyman Bennett and Martin Smith? I couldn't possibly comment. The author of the second headline was evidently attempting to write ‘anti-fascist’, which, to be fair is also another mistake. Let me correct their headline for them so that it is both correctly spelt and factually rather than politically correct: ‘Anti-English group bids to attack proposed EDL march in Leicester.’ That is what the leaders of UAF are planning to do: mount an anti-English, anti-White march in the hope that they will manage to generate a violent confrontation with supporters of the EDL and other people marching against anti-White racism.

UAF is a deliberately provocative and violent campaigning organisation whose followers have in recent years staged a number of anti-English attacks, but scandalously these have not been highlighted by the mass media and the objects of their attacks – the EDL – have been vilified in their stead.

Unlike the idiotic and unnecessarily aggressive stance of UAF, the Leicester Mercury mentions the rather more level-headed reaction of the Leicestershire Federation of Muslim Organisations which the paper states:

“is advising people not to participate in counter demonstrations or to attempt to tackle the EDL.

Its spokesman, Suleman Nagdi, said: "Our message will be the same as last time. We are urging people, particularly the young, to refrain from going into the city centre to oppose the English Defence League out of some misguided idea that they are protecting their city.

"We are best to leave everything to the experts – in this case the police.””

Mr Nagdi has offered some sensible advice and evidently has a sounder head upon his shoulders than either the luminaries of UAF or its supporters. There’s no reason why there should be any violence at this protest, and I hope that it is both peaceful and successful. Good luck to the police in containing the thuggish element within the emotionally overwrought ranks of UAF. Readers may view an EDL video highlighting the reasons for their Leicester demo here.

Asda's EDL Surprise: Rochdale anti-Halal Demo

Congratulations are in order to the 15-20 men of the EDL who turned up to demonstrate against halal meat at an Asda supermarket in Rochdale on Saturday 14 January. Sadly, it is reported that the police were called and that the protesters were then ejected. This perhaps had something to do with the location that the men had chosen for the protest: inside the Dane Street store next to the halal meat section itself. We shouldn’t be surprised therefore that they were moved on.

Although it is certainly a good idea to draw shoppers' attention to businesses that sell halal meat and to the animal cruelty involved in halal slaughter, it would be best not to choose to protest inside a store, but rather outside with say some double-sided A5 or A4 flyers outlining the outrageous exemptions to animal welfare standards made on behalf of religious slaughter without pre-stunning.

Perhaps the oddest aspect of this protest was the perplexed response that it elicited. According to the Rochdale News:

“A spokesperson for Asda said: ""We were surprised at the protest because we cater for everyone, from the new Butcher's Selection display in aisle 31 to the halal concession on the back wall - both have been successful since their launches last year."”

How strange! This individual seems to be either completely oblivious to what halal meat is, or is utterly indifferent to the fact that it entails additional suffering to that undergone by a sentient creature in the slaughter process. Quite clearly, Asda management need to be informed about the nature of this Islamic practice. And to think that such people have the gall to call members of the EDL “ignorant knuckledraggers”! The bigotry and complacency of such multiculturally-inclined businesspeople is startling.

The British Humanist Association has been running a campaign against religious slaughter for quite some time, and it is worth visiting their webpage dealing with this topic, for it contains many good tips on what to do to help bring about a change in legislation to bring these practices to an end. Interestingly, it hosts a number of replies to its letter sent in 2010 asking retailers if they only sell meat from animals which were pre-stunned in the slaughter process. Asda was not amongst the respondents.

The EDL should aim to shame those businesses that sell meat produced through methods of religious slaughter that cause undue additional suffering, and thereby damage their business if they do not change their practices. As a shopper, you can make an informed choice: spend your money elsewhere. Personally, I buy all of my meat from a good local English butcher where I can be sure of its provenance (I also only eat free range, which means that I generally miss out on poultry). If you must buy your meat from a supermarket, consider Morrisons who replied to the BHA as follows:

“At Morrisons we only sell 100% British fresh beef, lamb and poultry. None of it is Halal. The vast majority of our fresh beef and lamb is processed at our own abattoirs in Britain. We adhere to high standards of animal welfare. All of the cattle, lamb and poultry are stunned prior to slaughter.

Our own label frozen beef and poultry is all UK slaughtered and is not Halal.

Our own label frozen lamb is currently sourced from New Zealand and is Halal, the animal is humanely stunned before slaughter and a prayer is read.

The limited range of Halal and kosher branded frozen food products that we sell are all clearly labelled as such.”

It’s a pity that our Kiwi cousins have seemingly been driven by economics to embrace halal slaughter, but that is a matter for them to deal with. Be safe and buy British.   

Once again, congratulations to those EDL activists in Rochdale who carried out the first action in what I hope will be an ongoing campaign of drawing public attention to the violation of animal welfare standards in this country in the name of multicultural ‘tolerance’. I am sure that our Gallic cousins in Bloc Identitaire will also look upon this with approval. 

UPDATE: A contributor to the Casuals United blog named Roxanne has spoken to participants in Saturday's protest and posted a piece in which she states that it was not an official EDL protest, and was instead attended by a combination of EDL supporters and locals concerned at Asda's infringement of animal welfare through its sale of halal meat. She also claims that there were about 30 protesters rather than the 15 reported in the Rochdale News, and notes with appropriate satisfaction that the protest was entirely peaceful.

Anti-Nationalist Website Popularity: Who’s scraping the Bottom of the Barrel?

Having taken a look at the relative popularity of British and English nationalist websites, it is time to peer into a realm which we do not find agreeable, for there much frothing and fury is to be found: the world of anti-English and anti-British politics. Given the mainstream disdain for nationalism I will not be looking at websites belonging to the BBC, The Guardian or the Labour Party for example, for despite being persistently anti-British (in particular anti-English) the primary reason for their existence is not stated to be the ‘struggle’ against nationalism. Instead, this piece looks at sites belonging to self-styled ‘anti-fascist’ organisations/campaigns, as well as Muslim political groups and the parties of the Trotskyist Left. For the sake of a fair comparison, the three-month trailing traffic averages were taken on the same day as those relating to the websites covered in the earlier article British Nationalism on the Web: Who’s up and Who’s down – 9^th January 2012.

The first thing to note is that generally speaking this group of sites attracts less traffic than nationalist sites, although in a number of instances their Facebook followings are very significant. Two anti-English campaigning organisations will be tiresomely familiar to readers: Hope Not Hate (HNH) and Unite Against Fascism (UAF). Once these two worked closely together, but then had a spat over tactics and fell out. Despite UAF’s massive financial muscle afforded by its TUC backing, its website is less popular than that of HNH (you may be surprised to learn that at times its popularity has even trailed that of Durotrigan): their global traffic rankings being HNH 765,262 and UAF 1,458,466. Nationally, UAF edged ahead slightly, being ranked at 54,474 compared to 57,436. Being globalist internationalists however, neither body would attach significance to this second set of figures, surely? Compared to the global popularity of the nationalist websites, these two lag way down the list behind the BNP, British Freedom Party, EDL, BNP Ideas, UKIP and Britain First. In terms of Facebook ‘friends’ however, both HNH and UAF score highly, with the former having 50,436 (behind the BNP only) and the latter 15,579 (placing it also behind the EDL).

Facebook is of course the social networking site par excellence and its defining feature has, I think, something interesting to say about nationalism and public reticence (or fear): one’s likes and dislikes are available for everyone to see. Thus, whereas it is socially acceptable to be seen to be ‘anti-racist’ and ‘anti-fascist’, generally speaking it is not socially acceptable to be seen to be nationalist or anti-Islamist. The Facebook phenomenon thus leads to a distorted overrepresentation of the level of support for what are seen to be ‘socially acceptable’ groups compared to those that are assigned pariah status by the mainstream media. It could, for example, be risky to state that you were a ‘friend’ of the EDL or a nationalist group on your profile as your employer or one of your colleagues might see it with potentially damaging repercussions.

Having mentioned Facebook and the EDL, let’s look at the latter’s sworn foe that sprang up as a negative copycat organisation/campaign: the Muslim Defence League (MDL). The MDL doesn’t have a website of its own, but its Facebook page is almost as popular as that of the EDL’s, clocking in with 25,308 ‘friends’, just 1,800 behind. The Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK (MPACUK), which was set up to increase Muslim political participation and representation across the country has both a website and a Facebook page, and proves to outstrip the popularity of the Trotskyist political parties by a mile. Out of the sample under examination, MPACUK has the highest website ranking at 317,632 globally and 21,593 in the UK. This places its traffic between that of UKIP and Britain First on a global level, but behind them within the UK. Its Facebook following of 6,408 places it slightly ahead of the English Democrats, makes it more than twice as popular as the British Freedom Party and three times as popular as UKIP. 

Turning now to the Trotskyite rump parties, it is clear that in terms of the internet they are easily outpaced by the bulk of nationalist sites (and indeed by many nationalist blogs). The Socialist Workers Party (SWP) attracts a global traffic ranking of 1,940,152, but fails to generate enough traffic for a UK ranking. The Respect Party comes in at a derisory ranking of 20,402,382, placing it close to the Freedom Democrats in respect of its unpopularity, yet how many times have we seen the scowling face of its leader Salma Yaqoob on Question Time?! With respect (pardon the pun) to Facebook, the SWP manages to attract 3,745 ‘friends’, placing it someway behind the English Democrats but ahead of the British Freedom Party. Respect by contrast, has 257.

Conclusion

Generally speaking, anti-nationalist organisations, campaigns and parties are not generating as much traffic to their main websites as nationalists, but in terms of their Facebook following, the two big anti-nationalist campaigns/bodies HNH and UAF do exert a significant degree of public appeal. What is striking is that despite its relatively small size and limited activist base, the SWP manages to have an undue influence upon political life in the UK. There are lessons it would seem, that could possibly be learnt from elements of its strategy and tactics. Who in the long term will win the propaganda war?

We should of course be cautious with respect to overinterpreting the significance of such figures, for if they genuinely reflected the public's political mood, then the BNP, British Freedom Party, EDL, BNP Ideas and UKIP would be the largest political parties/groups in the country, for their websites all outstrip the popularity of those belonging to the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties. Quite clearly this is not the case, but instead bears testimony to the dull and predictable content of the sites belonging to the big three.

EDL Promo Video: Rhea Page Leicester Demo

Below is the latest video release from the EDL publicising their forthcoming demo in Leicester on 4 February which will be highlighting the judiciary's unwillingness to acknowledge the reality of violent racist attacks directed against the indigenous white population, as exemplified by the lenient sentencing of Rhea Page's attackers who yelled racist abuse at her during the assault. The video also draws attention to other cases of anti-white race attacks where our legal system has deliberately chosen not to classify them as such, even when the evidence conclusively points to them as being motivated by hatred of whites. Amongst those featured in the video is the attack upon Wiltshire schoolboy Henry Webster by a Muslim gang which left him with severe head injuries. Good luck to the EDL with this demonstration. Let's hope that it attracts a very large turnout.

Sadly, yet predictably, an anti-English and anti-democratic protest is being planned by the Leicester offshoot of the totalitarian group UAF, whose members are intent upon whipping up an atmosphere of hatred and violence against the English. It is groups such as UAF which deliberately foster an atmosphere in which anti-English and anti-White race attacks are swept under the carpet and held to be insignificant, whereas any crime against someone who happens to be black or Muslim is held up to incriminate the whole of English society and every English person. This is straightforward anti-English hatred and should not be seen as acceptable. If you are a trade unionist who has been harassed into declaring your support for this anti-English group masquerading as an 'anti-fascist' organisation, please make it known to them that you do not agree with their anti-English campaign and support neither its aims nor its methods.

Barking at the EDL: East London Protest passes off peacefully

Anti-English activists from ‘Unite Against Fascism’ (UAF) have today gathered in Barking with a view to obstructing a democratic protest by the EDL (for an explanation of why the demonstration is taking place see this post by Esmerelda Weatherwax at the New English Review). Elsewhere, soi-disant anti-fascists claim that they have forced “the cancellation of a planned EDL meeting in a Wetherspoon’s pub in Stoke on Trent”. Now, how would they have done that? It wouldn’t have been via making thinly veiled threats to the landlord over the phone should the EDL meeting be permitted to take place would it? Such tactics have been used in Huddersfield and elsewhere in the past. Confirmation of this supposition seems to have been provided by the following quote later taken from the anti-EDL site 'EDL News': "Weatherspoons have told EDL news that they will be refused entry after EDL News readers tipped the management off." Tipped them off? What possible form could this 'tip off' have taken? You can well imagine the minatory tones in which this will have been delivered.

According to reports on the EDL Forum, about 200 supporters turned out (UAF claims circa 100 EDL compared to their 80 counterdemonstrators) to demonstrate this afternoon, some of them depicted in the first of the pictures below. Their generally youthful opposition from UAF is shown in the second. Although it was a fine afternoon, this looks as if it has been quite a small-scale protest. Tactics are of course under review, and it would behove the EDL to move into the sphere of promoting boycotts of businesses that pass on halal meat to unsuspecting customers as well as other forms of visible protest that do not necessarily rely upon marches and formal rallies. Although there is a place for both, the EDL needs to become more focused to achieve its goals and harness the latent mass public sympathy for its position, whilst being mindful of the potential for violent attack from some emotionally overwrought members of anti-English groups. EDL supporters need to ensure both their own safety and that of the general public whilst campaigning against Islamisation. UPDATE: According to the Casuals United blog the aftermath of the protest was not as peaceful as the demonstration itself, for 15 EDL supporters were later arrested in a clash "involving several hundred people". Interestingly, there were only 15 EDL involved. Would 15 really seek to take on hundreds, or were they hounded down by a mob of Muslim residents? A lot of "Allahu-Akbars!" were chanted last night, and one EDL man was taken to hospital so that his injuries could be treated. The truth however will not necessarily out, not via the NUJ-controlled press at any rate.

Left redirects Flak towards British Freedom Party and English Democrats

There is a perceptive line in Oscar Wilde’s novel 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' that has rightly entered public consciousness, the validity of which pertains particularly to politicians and political parties: “there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.” For Nick Griffin’s BNP, its longstanding opponents are falling silent about the party, not because they have given up their ‘struggle’ against nationalism, but because they think that the party is no longer worthy of their attention owing to its growing insignificance. In this evaluation they are correct. Unfortunately however, many who are new to nationalist politics will undoubtedly have been gulled into joining the wreck that is the contemporary BNP and parting with their money in the mistaken belief that it is something that it is not: a credible nationalist party. For those still unaware of the fact, be warned that the BNP is now a moneymaking enterprise for Nick Griffin staffed in its upper echelons by incompetent and morally dubious cronies.

The devil finds work for idle hands to do, and as a means of continuing to justify their existence the self-styled ‘anti-fascists’ have, as foreseen, broadened their definitions of ‘fascism’ and ‘racism’ ever further so as to create fresh foes that must in their eyes be combated and slain. The first of these that they chose to latch onto once it was clear that the BNP had entered its death spiral was the EDL. However, so large has the network of ‘anti-fascist’ organisations and campaigns grown, that the professional ‘anti-fascists’ in their employ have found that the EDL hasn’t been providing them with enough work, so they’ve invented some new ‘fascist’ and ‘racist’ threats that must be dealt with. Thus of late they have cast around and begun to lash out at the British Freedom Party and the English Democrats, thereby demonstrating that merely possessing and standing up for the idea that there may be a British or an English people is to the ‘anti-fascists’ synonymous with ‘fascism’ and ‘racism’, which is of course, nonsense on stilts.

As can be seen from the excerpts below taken from an SWP report on their annual conference earlier this month, the Trotyskists never relent in their shrill campaign of anti-democratic hysteria directed not only at nationalist organisations and supporters, but also at ordinary British people wanting to protect their jobs.

"The far right is growing across Europe. Britain has bucked the trend as both the BNP and the EDL have seen serious setbacks.

Weyman [Bennett] added, “Imagine the situation now if we hadn’t challenged them.”

The threat has not gone away. The new British Freedom Party unites elements from the EDL, the BNP and Ukip. The coming Unite Against Fascism conference is a chance to revitalise the movement in 2012."

The SWP’s hatred of ordinary British people and its desire to subvert their living standards and deprive them of jobs was clearly and unapologetically articulated by a delegate named Rhetta:

"Rhetta said that on N30 protests in Manchester some demonstrators supported calls for British jobs for British workers “We need to be deeply embedded in the class to challenge these attitudes,” she said."

For the British Freedom Party, the SWP focus upon them as their new target for anathematisation and annihilation should be seen as both worrying and encouraging, for it would seem to suggest that the Trotskyists view it as the party most likely to grow and exert popular appeal in the wake of the implosion of the Griffinite BNP.

In a separate article penned by Anthony Painter on the Labour List site, attention was turned to the (potential) growth of English nationalism, with the flak on this occasion being directed not at the BFP, but at the English Democrats who have been bracketed alongside the BNP and the EDL.

“One of the tragedies of recent years has been the way in which vile extremists including the BNP, the EDL, and the English Democrats have been able to latch onto anger and alienation and expressed them through a corrupted notion of Englishness. Nothing is more un-English than hate and extremism.”

Note the casual use of the term “vile extremists”. Painter does not elucidate what it is that is “vile” about them, or what is “extreme”. These words have been employed not to describe or to analyse what these groups represent, but merely to elicit a reflexive sense of revulsion in his readers based upon emotion rather than logic. In this way, Painter seeks to reinforce the in-group sentiment of his Labour readership and reaffirm emotional commitment to the redundant political approach of the party he supports. Labour-supporting readers of Labour List, already primed for their Two Minutes Hate when presented with the necessary verbal or visual cues, thus give vent to their repressed anger, directing it towards the EDL and English Democrats. Paradoxically, such officially sanctioned objects of Labour hate represent the true democratic and grassroots expression of the values that the early Labour Party largely embodied but abandoned many decades ago.

What have the EDL, English Democrats and British Freedom Party done to merit such opprobrium? Did they create the predatory Islamic colonies that have sprung up across England? Are they responsible for the democratic deficit exemplified by a cosy consensus amongst the Westminster parties that offers electors no real choice? Are they responsible for our country’s deindustrialisation, mass unemployment, runaway population growth and attendant housing shortage? Do they advocate globalisation and its concomitant loss of sovereignty and economic crisis? Do they call for an end to free speech and the anathematisation of their political opponents? No, they do not. The Labour Party however, cannot be absolved of any of the aforementioned, for it has been eagerly complicit in all of them. Who then are the real ‘extremists’? Who are the genuine enemies of democracy? If you are an English Labour supporter, can you not see that you are being duped and manipulated by people who care nothing for you, and who do not have your interests at heart?

The fact that the SWP, UAF and the Labour Party are now turning upon the British Freedom Party and the English Democrats illustrates that both are seen as possessing the potential for real political growth. That the anti-nationalists (for that is what the so-called 'anti-fascists' really are) at least purport to be alarmed at the emergence of these two parties is encouraging, but ultimately we require a single nationalist party to ensure success. Meanwhile, supporters of UAF are today going about their usual business of being a vociferous and potentially violent nuisance on our streets, targeting an EDL demonstration in Barking.

British Nationalism on the Web: Who's up and Who's down

As mainstream media outlets are intrinsically inimical towards nationalism it is not surprising that the Internet has become the medium through which nationalists have in recent years sought to propagate their message and to establish channels of communication with others of a similar outlook. To members of the public at large who do not take it upon themselves to investigate this area of politics beyond reading what is printed in the press or broadcast on the airwaves, ‘nationalism’ in the contemporary United Kingdom is associated with two parties only: the BNP and UKIP, although the latter would not primarily define itself as a nationalist party. At the level of local media, the English Democrats have received minimal and fleeting coverage, but the other micro-parties that would seek to assume the mantle of nationalism are practically invisible. The British Freedom Party evinced momentary media interest when Tommy Robinson announced the EDL’s tie-up with the former, but since then, it has slipped from public purview back into the nationalist mists.

Nick Griffin’s catastrophic mismanagement of the BNP has reduced the party from a position in which it was on the verge of achieving an electoral breakthrough, to one in which it is caught in a terminal tailspin. This is well-known both in nationalist and anti-nationalist circles, but not to the general public, which is why opinion polls keep citing a residual 2% of respondents as intending to vote BNP at the next election. This of course does not in reality represent support for Griffin’s corrupt machine, but for the idea of a democratic British ethno-nationalist party. Nonetheless, it is to the world of British and English nationalism that I turn my attention in this piece, and to the relative visibility and strengths of the different contenders for the nationalist crown. The BNP is dead, long live . . . which party exactly?

Before looking at the statistics associated with the smaller contenders for the nationalist crown (taken from Alexa Rankings on 9th January 2012), it is worth bearing in mind that despite its many troubles the BNP website commands a very respectable amount of traffic allowing it to clock in as the 2023rd most popular in the UK. Likewise, it has a considerable Facebook following, with some 78,437 followers. Although far more successful electorally and possessing much greater media coverage and financial muscle than the BNP, UKIP’s presence on the internet is by contrast rather modest, with its party site clocking in as the 17,345th most popular in the UK and its Facebook page commanding a paltry 2,111 followers. Given the high average age of UKIP supporters though, this shouldn’t perhaps be such a great surprise.

Although not a political party, the EDL has been rightly trumpeted as the most successful nationalistically-inclined grassroots movement to have emerged in recent decades. It therefore seems fitting to include statistics relating to its web presence given this popularity and its wider influence on the nationalist scene. Its website attracts a significant amount of traffic, more than UKIP’s in fact, clocking in at number 12,064 in the UK and 234,946 globally, whilst its Facebook page has 27,111 followers. However, when considering the EDL’s presence on Facebook, it should be borne in mind that previous pages have been hacked and rendered defunct on more than one occasion, so it is possible that had this not happened the total would now be considerably higher. Clearly though, as with all nationalist sites, it will also be attracting visits from its opponents as well as from its supporters. Its high hit rate could thus also be an indication of the EDL’s unpopularity. There are also a number of Facebook pages associated with the EDL’s divisional structure which are in themselves popular, such as Leicester that boasted 3,123 followers when I last checked the statistics.

Another significant factor to consider when looking at the popularity of the EDL is Tommy Robinson’s recent endorsement of the British Freedom Party. Although both he and the BFP leadership anticipated that this would lead to a sizeable segment of the EDL’s membership lending its support to the party, debate on the EDL Forum indicates that opinion on this alliance is far from united, with a majority of those expressing their views on this subject backing UKIP rather than the BFP. It would take something significant on the part of the BFP to change this preference. Nonetheless, since the party’s relaunch last November its web traffic has received a noteworthy fillip, edging slightly ahead of the EDL clocking in at 9,666th in the UK and 223,423rd globally.

In contrast, traffic to the BNP Ideas site – attracting contributions and support from the thoughtful and democratic members (or recent ex-members) of the party outside of the Griffin clique – is higher in the UK at 7,645 but lower globally coming in at 239,166th position. Nonetheless, it strikes me as preferable for a British nationalist site to seek to attract most of its traffic from within the UK rather than from without. Quite what will happen to BNP Ideas now that Andrew Brons has announced the formation of the Centre for Democratic Nationalism and the abandonment of the idea of setting up another ethnonationalist party remains to be seen. According to Brons “The primary aimof the Centre for Democratic Nationalism will be to facilitate the emergence of a united British Nationalist Movement.” The only party to have affiliated to it thus far is The Democratic Nationalists, and it is clear that this recent announcement has driven traffic to the party’s rather basic website taking it to 74,025th position in the UK. 

Another party to have emerged from a BNP breakaway is the Freedom Democrats formed from expelled members of the BFP. Despite claims by the Freedom Democrats to be the true British equivalent of the European freedom parties and to enjoy positive relations with its continental counterparts, the figures do not seem to lend this assertion credibility. The Freedom Democrats website doesn’t possess a UK Alexa traffic ranking, but clocks in at 24,336,810th globally, and its Facebook page features 16 ‘friends’. Evidently, the party is a non-starter and has less political clout than my blog, which isn’t saying much. Its members, if they wish to be involved in politics, would be advised to stand as independents or to join another party. Despite what some disaffected BNP members may mutter, the National Front is effectively dead, commanding no UK traffic ranking and a global position of 3,006,831. Its Facebook page boasts 457 friends.

Although having some electoral representation – including the Mayor of Doncaster – the English Democrats possess a modest web presence, despite their recent website revamp which has left it looking far more appealing and professional. At the time of writing, the EDs’ website ranked at 1,540,656th globally, a little behind my blog which enjoyed a ranking of 1,508,640th globally and 85,579th in the UK. The EDs are certainly ahead of Durotrigan on Facebook though, for Durotrigan has no Facebook presence; in fact, they score relatively well with 6,149 ‘friends’, coming in ahead both of UKIP and the BFP.

Lastly, turning to Britain First (I couldn’t find a site for its spinoff National People’s Party) championed by the Green Arrow, I was surprised to see that despite the trumpeting their internet presence appears to be weaker than the BFP, BNP Ideas and the EDL. UKIP manages to outstrip them on Facebook, but not in terms of its British traffic. The figures for the Britain First website are 13,524th in the UK and 352,736th globally; Facebook – 1,170 followers.


Conclusions
What does all of this say about the different nationalist parties, factions and movements operating in Britain today? Evidently, it serves to underscore the seriously fragmented nature of the nationalist scene, and the possibility that any one of a number of what could be termed “post-BNP parties”could emerge to eclipse the BNP. Will it be whatever might emerge from the Brons plan with his Centre for Democratic Nationalism? Will it be Paul Weston’s BFP, or the English Democrats or Britain First/National People’s Party? What implications could Scottish independence have for the whole of the nationalist spectrum?

Evidently, UKIP will for the foreseeable future continue to be the most publicly visible and least pilloried of the parties and movements mentioned above, but it remains an Atlanticist Tory party rather than a nationalist party, and thus whilst a UKIP administration would be less damaging than any put in place by the current big three in British politics, it is not what we need in the long run to turn our country around. We need a single credible and viable party to emerge in the very near future and for nationalists to agree to unite around whichever vehicle it may be. Time is growing short. Websites, blogs and general internet activism will have their role to play, but this is only part of the story if a viable nationalist politics is to be born in our country. Some bloggers/website contributors have already taken their views to the comment threads on major national newspapers such as the Daily Telegraph so as to attempt to sneak nationalist views past the moderators, and in some instances, this appears to be enjoying some success. Will it work? If we don’t try, we won’t know.

A later post will look at the internet presence of the major campaigning foes of nationalist parties and politics, and I am sure that you’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that in terms of traffic, the nationalists appear to be winning. However, given that the web is the only place where a nationalist position is freely articulated this should not be a surprise, for those of a multiculturalist pro-mass immigration bent have plenty of mainstream media organs, as well as political parties, advocating and pushing their message in every sphere of life.

Now there we were all thinking that Kim Jong-un had become the unchallenged successor to his father the recently deceased Kim Jong-il and along comes this video below illustrating that there is perhaps another pretender to the North Korean leadership, or failing that, someone with aspirations of installing a North Korean style cult of personality in north London. What manner of egomaniac gets schoolchildren to rap a Jafaican encomium to their person, forcing innocent English youngsters to engage in ugly politicised propaganda whilst mangling their mother tongue? What kind of teacher not only allows this to take place in their school, but actively embraces and promotes it? This is not what any sane individual would recognise as education. This is political indoctrination pure and simple.

Those of us with some awareness of history know precisely where this type of activity has taken place before, do we not? If I had the skill, I would be tempted to rework the famous poster below substituting the figure of Abbott for Stalin: Thank you Comrade Abbott for our happy Childhood! If she had her way, English children would be informing on their parents for harbouring 'racist' views. Who's to say that this is not already happening in this particular Hackney school? As she is so keen on such Stalinist tactics, I think it only fitting that she be accorded a Soviet-style Russian nickname: Govnyushka. Luckily for Govnyushka the North Koreans have just released a video (see below) in honour of Kim Jong-un that she might find useful as a template for her own condensed biography.

 

Diane Abbott’s Guardian and ‘whiting up’

Shadow Minister for Public Health. That is the position held by Diane Abbott. I can think of nobody better qualified for this office other than perhaps that other exemplar of healthy living, ‘Lord’ Prescott.

Diane loves the Guardian and the Guardian reciprocates this tender affection. It truly is wonderful to behold such sentiments, for love is a fragile thing in the volatile worlds of politics and journalism. Love though, as they say, is blind, which is just as well when your object of affection is Diane, and this past week the Guardian has proffered its full support to her and her twittering. If only those nasty white people would understand that Diane is simply doing her professionally black best to advance the interests of her ‘people’ groaning under the yoke of English colonial oppression.

For Diane this is after all 1912, and so far as slavery goes it’s 1712. Time and space constitute no barrier for Diane and the Guardian, for the historical ‘ills’ suffered by a fraction of the global black population at the hands of a controlling minority of the English elite would appear to suffice as a pretext for browbeating all English people and all whites for the rest of eternity. The fact that blacks routinely enslaved each other and that Arabs viewed (and often continue to do so) them as akin to sub-humans but nonetheless worthy as enslaving registers neither with Abbott nor the Guardian. Do not such crude generalisations and projections of ‘guilt’ and ‘responsibility’ furnish clear evidence of their deeply ingrained anti-white racism?

I do hope that Diane appreciates the cartoon of her as ‘victim’ penned by Guardian cartoonist Gary Barker. In this she has been somewhat ‘whited up’ and portrayed as an innocent garnering unwarranted attention from a hostile press in front of a memorial to the recently beatified St Stephen. She is you see, such a morally upstanding woman. Oh yes, quite a remarkable woman my dear friends. What will Aardman Ed Miliband do? “More cheese Gromit? Oh, sorry, I meant to say Diane.” Someone call a taxi!

Diane Abbott 'whites up' for The Guardian

Diane Abbott: a professional 'Black Woman'

Please pay attention. This is an official announcement. Remain vigilant until the crisis is over.

It has been reported that a hominid throwback, a possible extant female specimen of Australopithecus Africanus, has been spotted in London, England. Contrary to received scientific wisdom, the overgrown female was found to be capable of complex yet crude vocalisations, which have for many years revolved around stereotyping and insulting white Homo Sapiens, who have provided the female with a comfortable living and quarters in which to nest and rear its offspring. Now however, it seems that the time for its aggressive pant-hooting may be drawing to a close, following its maladroit handling of electronic technology (hardly surprising given that Australopithecines are not thought to have been capable of producing tools).

Very well then, enough of the sarcasm for now. Abbott may be a member of the same species, but she has certainly spent the whole of her political life making a career out of nothing more than her blackness. She truly is, in the literal sense of the phrase, a professional black woman; she is professionally black. Take away her blackness and she’d have little to prattle about; she would be no more remarked upon than any other pseudo-socialist hypocrite who prescribes sub-standard state education for all, whilst sending their own children to private schools.

Some might say that Diane Abbott could be described as a professional black female hypocrite; a hypocritical female black professional, or indeed, a black female hypocritical professional. I wouldn’t like to say whether any of these statements happened to be true or otherwise, but one thing I know that she is not is this: an impartial politician who views whites and blacks equally. Diane Abbott most certainly is partial, and she is partial to blacks, as well as being a casual hater of whites. Why then the surprise surrounding her Tweet "White people love playing 'divide and rule' We should not play their game #tacticasoldascolonialism"?

She has after all, previously made disparaging remarks about “blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls”, claiming that she found them unsuited to nursing because they had "never met a black person before”. If you were recovering in hospital, who would you rather meet: someone such as Kiira Korpi or Diane Abbott? I know which of the two types would put the joie back into my vivre and get me swiftly onto the road to recovery, and it wouldn’t be some sullen white-hater originating in the tropics.

As for Abbott’s Tweet, does she not find it a little ironic that she herself has based her career entirely upon ‘divide and rule’? She seeks to corral black voters into a bloc that she then claims to represent, and this she has done most successfully in Hackney since 1987. Abbott is a race obsessive, and without her ugly politics of negritude victimhood and perpetual resentment, she would have no political platform and would have had no public career. Isn’t it time that this repulsive anti-indigenous anti-white politics was buried once and for all, along with the careers of its trailblazers Diane Abbott and Ken Livingstone amongst many others? Dotun Adebayo and Yasmin Alibhi Brown may have voiced their continued support for 'black' sectional politics and Diane Abbott on Radio 4 in a discussion with Justin Webb, but it needs to be made clear that if they continue to agitate upon the basis of race, then we whites have no alternative but to countermobilise along racial lines to secure our rights and interests in our own land.
