They may have Romanian passports, but they are not Romanian: they are Roma, and that's an important distinction. The snag is of course, the Romanians find them about as agreeable as we do, and are glad to be rid of them. I was approached by two different men within two minutes and I could see that another of these swarthy men had stopped a young woman on the other side of the street.
